SIFF Opening Night: Lame Movie Excused for Free Booze

The SIFF got things started off this year with a movie that's every bit as lame as we said it was, but, on the bright side, at least we got to double-fist free shots of Bombay Saphire. We also scored some free champagne and a plate of chicken that didn't suck. So overall, even though we hate lame movies almost as much as we hate standing in lines, we're glad we braved the throngs at the Paramount and the former interim library spot at 8th & Pike. Aside from Jessica Biel's brief (and silent) appearance on the stage before the film, Seattlest scored zero celebrity sightings, unless you consider Ned Flanders a celebrity (and no we didnt bust him stealing any reserved seats this time).
