-The man who built The End is resigning after 10 years on the job. "Effective immediately." Wow, with authority.

-Whining parents are barred from the remainder of the public school closure panel's meetings as are the media. Man, you'd think their presence wasn't contructive somehow.

-There! She voted with her party, alright. Would we just shut the hell up already.

-A robot in Bellevue blew up a backpack at the scene of a bank robbery before it turned on its masters and announced its reign of terror.

    Oh jeez. Phil Manning became the station manager *after* The End became irrelevant (unless you count The Real World kids working there for 13 weeks). Manning absolutely did *not* make The End into a powerhouse station. The grunge/alternative (or whatever label you'd prefer) scene in the early 90's did that. Then, when that scene ended so did The End's reign as anything other than a run of the mill commercial radio station. Given that he wasn't even the station manager during their heyday it seems odd that anyone would wax poetic over his departure.

    Commercial radio is dead.
