I went down to Eugene this weekend and saw the same slogans. The weirdest part of the drive(s) was seeing the Trojan cooling tower on the way down saturday, but not on the way back up sunday. Creepy monolith, you will be strangely missed.

My most recent experience with this kind of thing comes courtesy of Wisconsin - Seems like we were passing groups of small "Now Entering Bush Country" signs every couple hundred acres and I think I recall some billboard-sized messages as well but maybe I'm just thinking of this Uncle Sam one.

I love that billboard. It reminds me of a conservative marquee I used to see as a kid that would say things like, "God sees what you're doing, and it's sinful," and "God. Never. Blinks." ah, *memories*
