The Benefits of Chocolate Lucky Charms

When we think of food, when we peruse a menu, when we contemplate dinner, we always think of the most fattening, unhealthy foods on the planet. Short ribs, foie gras, macaroni and cheese, and hot fudge sundaes make us salivate. Our husband, on the other hand, is more likely to look at a menu and then start a conversation about his cholesterol level (or worse, ours), his weight, the nutritional values of quiche, and other unappetizing subjects.

Then all of a sudden last week he came home, very excited, with a box of Chocolate Lucky Charms. “Look!”, he cried, “even better for you than Kashi GOLEAN or Smart Start!”. I couldn’t believe it either, but for some bizarre reason the back of the box shows that it is at least as good for you, if not better (as long as you don’t mind the artificial flavors and colors – blue marshmallows?). So we’ve decided to eat all the Chocolate Lucky Charms we want, until our son is old enough to notice…
