Seattlest has Canada on the brain. We trust you'll be forgiving of us, as we continue to wish we were there while we're not. But we'll be there soon.
The Whistler Bike Park has officially announced its opening weekend this Friday, having dug out a number of trails in the lower section of the mountain. We don't believe they've gotten out the 100-foot (excuse us, meter) extension cords for the hair dryers just yet, but word is that some trails will still be somewhat wet, and surrounded by snow. All the softer for those unexpected sudden landings.
The resort shoulder season is nearing an end, so lodging deals like these won't be available much longer. Even if you're not a huge mountain bike dork, you'll find it delightful up there, as spring in Whistler is like spring in Paris. Only with mountains. And not really any French people--at least not any real French people.

Tuesdays are Muppet Days

Why do people even go to Paris anyway? The bike trails are HORRIBLE!
