Hot Java, Cool Jazz…Man

mini-HotJava.jpgThis Friday you will have the chance to hear tomorrow’s jazz stars today! It’s the 10th anniversary of the Hot Java, Cool Jazz concert at the Paramount, sponsored by Starbucks.

The five schools performing tomorrow are Garfield, Roosevelt, Edmonds Woodway, Mountlake Terrace and Shorewood. Seattlest has never been to the Hot Java Cool Jazz concert, but we do have first-hand knowledge of the jazz program at Garfield. If it’s as good as or better than it was nine years ago, there is every reason to drop what you’re doing Friday night and go.

Tickets are $15 for the general public or $8 for students and seniors (and can be purchased here or at the door). All proceeds go back to the schools’ jazz programs, courtesy of Starbucks.
