Seattlest sometimes has a hard time reading on the bus because we're too busy checking out what everyone else is reading. The 48 had a great vibe to it today, must be the increasingly yummy weather but everyone seemed happy and there was lots of reading to surreptitiously sneak a peek at.
Kafka--We didn't catch which title, as the gal had it clutched to her with only the top of the book showing. Maybe this was it?
Esquire Magazine--Dave Chappelle on the cover. Please Dave, never leave us again.
The Culture of Fear--A high school kid who is always on our bus had this one cracked.
Accidents in North American Mountaineering--The owner of this one didn't look like a climber, but we hope this ups her odds.
Changing the Oil Economy--A print-out of what looked like an academic article, perhaps from this book. The woman poring over it had pen and highlighter in hand.
Seattle PI--Many people, varying sections open.
Half in Love--The lone fiction reader we spotted.
Employment Application--Printed out, in the hands of the woman sitting across the aisle from us. We couldn't tell who the employer was, but we recognized the general format of the form. Shudder.
Giant Robot--Our favorite magazine title. Ever. We had to go look this one up.

Kafka is fiction too. Just saying!
Ach, busted. Although, the cover design with only his name up top could have also accomodated his Diaries, too.
I live int Toronto Canada and when I take the subway it was always cool to see what other were reading. I found it fun to match the book to the face and sying oh yeah that guy does look like he would be reading that. I also started to read more myself since I got a whole bunch of free magaizines on business and IT from http://www.me2press.com/free.html I can fill a whole week with all the magazines I get for free.
