Last Page of Wallingford's Second Story Books Story

mini-bigbooksale.jpgThe seemingly endless renovation of Wallingford Center had better be worth it. It's been a stake in the heart of existing tenants. A number of Center shops have closed, and Second Story Books, after 21 years, is calling it quits too. As of today, visitors can take a last look around and walk away with some great deals. From owner Carol Santoro's email:

Our closing sale will begin Friday, April 28th at 10:00am. All new and used books, cards, bookcases, office equipment, display fixtures and lighting will be discounted. It's always sad to see another independent bookstore close and this is no exception. I'm extremely grateful for the support I've received at Second Story and that I continue to receive in my new store, Santoro's Books. Gift certificates and frequent buyer cards from Second Story will of course be honored at Santoro's and I hope you'll visit us in Greenwood.

Greenwood is a "neighborhood of contrasts." It is located here.
