Giant Steps Are What You Take

Seattlest visited the Henry last night to see the Roy Lichtenstein retrospective, the Skyspace, and Maya Lin's Systematic Landscapes.

Until we saw the many, many signs asking us not to, we did not have a strong urge to walk on 2x4 Landscape. Once we noticed them, we did not just want to walk on the piece -- we wanted to clamber over it and maybe run some Matchbox cars over its swells.

Happily, we noticed other signs saying "For future opportunities to walk on 2x4 Landscape, see our website." So we did:

Maya Lin's 2x4 Landscape will be available for interaction on Thursday, May 4 from 5–7 PM. Registration is required, limited to ten participants at any given time. Registration must be in person and will be accepted on Thursday, May 4 from 11 AM–4 PM at the Admissions Desk. Be advised that there are only 80 slots available and entry to the landscape will be first come, first served.
Sweet!

One more thing: Maya Lin's Wikipedia entry is lacking. Someone who knows more than we do about Lin, please upgrade her entry to something not so embarrassing. Thanks.
