
-A fishing boat burned up this morning off of Richmond Beach. Six people aboandon ship and Chief Sealth put out the fire.
-Protesters shut down a Sound Transit project this morning chanting, "No black contracts, no black jobs, no light rail!". Traffic was blocked on Rainier Ave and people were pissed.
-The Puget Sound Business Journal had an article up about a new House of Blues next to the Paramount, but they've taken it down. Look for it tomorrow.
-Eastside R Bill Finkbeiner won't run for reelection next term. State Rep Toby Nixon is going to try to slide into Finkbeiner's slot. Bill perfectly executed a 180 on the civil rights bill earlier this year which helped it pass.
-Jon Rowley made the food section of the New York Times yesterday on the strength of his oyster boosterism.
-When you develop develop develop into habitat coyotes get pissed off and start biting kids. "I expect this to be recurring problem for a long time," says Bill Hebner of Fish and Wildlife.
