Ah, Philip, I most definitely did NOT ignore Seattle Weekly's work; I just haven't written about it. Your piece was, as are all your stories, intelligent, thoughtful, and literate. [Always heartwarming to see Dominic quoted.] Sure, what the edit board does shouldn't influence the assignment desk. But the story this week ought to be about the Cap Hill community's response [fundraisers, potlucks, etc.], not yet another rehash.

ah geez thanks ronald for totally ignoring the weekly's work on this story. that's so totally hipsterish of you. and also for not understanding--even though you are allegedly writing about media--that there is a big diff between what an editorial board does (moronic aado crusades) vs. what reporters do.

Actually, the headline on the Times story is "House that once stood for fun now a darker blue." "They Needed a Six-Bedroom House" is the first sentence. Still: SUCK-O-RAMA!
