-Frankie's Sports Bar & Grill in Olympia has been fighting the good fight against the smoking ban, but lost a court battle today and will finally comply with the legislation.

-The voting is open for the state's new quarter design. Like good King County Democrats we voted three times for design #3 which is rightly in the lead.

-The Spokane Spokesman-Review ran a movie review of the film Benchwarmers that Sony didn't want reviewed. Tsk, tsk.

-As anticipated the Seattle Tymes is continuing to use the Capitol Hill shootings as an excuse to rehash the Teen Dance Ordinance.

    Look, people. This ain't Oklahoma, or Arizona, or even Hawaii. Unless you are actually in a tribe, or for some strange reason, a Hawks fan, there's really nothing connecting you or your everday life with Salish artistic renderings.



    I realize the other two look way too much like tourist-trap-giftstore magnets, but the native styling of the unrecognizable fish monster is just going to make us look like the coinage loons (No offense, Canada) of the country.
