The 2006 Seahawks schedule was released this morning. They open at Detroit, and have two home Monday night games-- vs. Oakland on November 6th, and vs. Green Bay on Nov. 27th.
A few Hawks are making international waves. DE Bryce Fisher, a graduate of the Air Force Academy, is on a USO tour. Here he is in Afghanistan. Some practice squad guys are doing well in NFL Europe. QB Gilbran Hamdan was named offensive player of the week, and punter Gabe Lindstron won special teams player of the week.
Nate Burleson is happy to be a Seahawk. The Tacoma News-Tribune's Mike Sando reports on the receiver situation on his terrific blog.
Now the Hawks turn to the defensive backfield. With Ken Hamlin's return in question, they are considering signing five-time Pro Bowl corner Ty Law, but he wants a lot of money. NFL draft experts expect the team to take a DB with their first round pick, with the best guess being Miami's Kelly Jennings, who also has a blog.
