<p>Not to take away from the wonderful music on KEXP, but there are more outlets for local music than John Richards is crediting. One that is going even further than KEXP is the University of Washington's student-run radio station. Rather that lump it all together in a once-per-week so, they play nothing but Northwest music (all genres, from hip hop to hardcore to electronic) every mon-fri, from noon-2pm. They may not have the "cred" that KEXP has, but they certainly have the heart. If you dig the local scene, check them out.
