Stalk of the Town
Daylight savings time either starts or ends on Sunday, which means that you either get or lose an hour! What are you going to do or not do with it? Here's our plans...
Donte is saving up his energy for Alpacapalooza this weekend. Sure, he'll be attending Rithma at Trinity on Friday, and DJ Minx on Saturday at the Baltic Room, but Alpacapalooza (and the high potential for funnel cake) is what has him really excited.
Saturday marks a major milestone for Deborah: she'll be getting a dishwasher installed. It'll be her first dishwasher since she lived in shared housing during her sophomore year in college (that's 12 years ago, if you're counting). And in keeping with the domestic theme, she'll be working on homework for her Beginning Garment Construction class at Pacific Fabrics, and clipping some of the daffodils blooming in her garden.
Dan's hopefully doing absolutely nothing tonight. Tomorrow he's scheduled for a ride on the Living Barge and he's supposed to see The Turn of the Screw. Sunday there's word the World Champion Chicago White Sox may be playing a ball game.
If it wasn't on the Eastside David S. would spend every moment possible at Woodinville's Basset Bash and Brigade. However, because he doesn't like to leave the city he will host a party for his housemate and countdown the seconds until Opening Day.
Michael vB has penciled in a date with the tax man for Saturday, but Sunday night he's planning to shake it off with a trip to the Green Room for MOLLY ROSE with DEAR DARLING and HOLLIS BROWN. $5.00 at the door. Doors at 8pm. 21+
Margaret, constantly searching for balance, has managed to create quite the unbalanced weekend. Friday night will find her at the Seattle Opera Apprentice Artist Program's opera The Turn of the Screw. Saturday will find her brunching, shopping, drinking, chatting, partying at various venues, etc. Sunday will be quieter – just a little light stitch n' bitch.
Gina will be channeling the glory days of her youth by attending the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards on Saturday. On Monday, she'll turn up an hour late for work (or is it early?), using the time-honored (pun entirely intended) only-good-once-a-year excuse of "forgetting" to turn her clocks ahead.
Tonight Jack will be recovering from a very busy week via Netflix and IPA. Saturday, he and his wife will head to High Dive for a great night of rock, starring Young Sportsmen, Llama, and Kingsley. Sunday, Jack will finally check out V For Vendetta. Here's to hopefully not being D For Disappointed.
Courtney is going to see Mark Haim’s performance at On The Boards tonight. At some point during the weekend she’ll try to avoid killing herself on her bike at this location, and then she’ll abandon anything resembling a social life for a slew of domestic crap.
Ronald is on "assignment" in Spain, eating tapas on the streets of Logrono and drinking wines from the Rioja. Read his blog if you really, truly want to know more.
Tonight, Audrey will be listening to some white guy jazz. Saturday, it's time to go shopping for spring clothes and engage in assorted April tomfoolery. Sunday, she should spend some quality time catching up with her bestest friend in the whole wide world.
Matt will probably check out Transmissionary Six at the Tractor and he has absolutely nothing hilarious lined up for April Fools. Seriously.
As his one roommate has a girlfriend, and the other's girlfriend is moving here from D.C., Seth will spend the weekend contemplating the possibility of a summer spent sheepishly asking hostesses "is there anyway that table can seat five?" Sometimes he hates having herpes. But all such thoughts will vacate his mind on day three of his self-imposed three-day-weekend, which is Opening Day!
