The weekend before last we sent you down to Portland for an event. Hope you made it back ok. Today we're going to do it again, but don't think it's because Seattle doesn't have more than enough to keep you occupied - Sometimes you just have to get out and, really, why not Portland?
Saturday night is the 2006 Season Party for Super Atomic TV ("Vintage z-grade sci-fi movies, classic PSAs, classroom films, Atomic Scare movies and indie video!") and they're having it at the Jupiter Hotel. Now, we know you've been wondering for a while now whether you're cool enough to stay at the Jupiter Hotel, but let us assure you, if you watch the video below and like it, you're cool enough. If you hate the video and wish people would stop pretending crap like that is cool, sorry, they're booked.
Actually, love it or hate it the hotel's booked. We just checked. A worthy event nonetheless. Don't you have any friends down there that owe you a night on the couch. It's no Jupter Hotel, we realize...

It's no Rockford Files, but it's pretty damn good. Could we replace Q13 News at 11 with this? I don't think anyone would miss Bill Wixey.
the jupiter hotel's overrated. the central thriftlodge right across the street is way cheaper, with more parking, and rooms that more than get the job done. value for your dollar is what's really cool.
