Seattlest: Ivars Salmon House Lookin Pretty Rough

Also, the barge really IS a barge - you can see that most clearly from the other side of the cut. It looks like a converted coal barge to me.

Ha, I dont' get that one actually. I got on a friend's boat once and as soon as we were on the water he said "wanna go to ivars?" I thought, for what? We're already on a boat, we have beer, what purpose could ivars possibly serve. It turns out he wanted to try and pick up some girls there.

That's good news--sitting out on the barge on a nice day is a great treat. Their happy hour can't be beat. AND, if you are in a boat, you can tie up there and climb up onto the barge to get drunk before boating some more.
