Ski Wedgewood

Another helping of winter seems to be in the forecast for our area so we thought we should share this charming documentary of northwest idiots in their natural habitat that was recently posted to youtube.com. We can't say that it doesn't look like fun. We also can't say we'll ever park in Wedgewood during a snowstorm.

History Lesson: The neighborhood was named after the English bone china-maker Wedgwood, the favorite of the wife of Albert ("Al") Balch (1903–1976), the developer who named the neighborhood.

And I agree with James, it's a pretty lame neighborhhod.

Also, I'm glad I didn't see my car in that video.

true fact: I'm firing the seattlest fact checking department. That's the second superfluous "e" they let me post in as many days in a headline. Yesterday it was "Coleman Dock," today, "Wedgewood," tomorrow "Mayore Greg Nichols."

  • True fact: Wedgwood, the neighborhood, does not have an "e" after the Wedg.

True fact: I did not know that until I moved here.

True fact: Wedgwood remains a lamer neighborhood than Wallingford.
