All The News

-The Seattle Times finally deigned to soil its dainty hands with The Stranger's FSU story.

-A man was a "victim in or a witness of" a hit-and-run event in Federal Way, followed the perps to their apartment and called police. And got stabbed for his troubles. Is this evidence of a 'Stop Snitching' program down south?

-A Tom Cruise look-alike robbed a video store in Bothell today. Did this same Tom Cruise look-alike tell the world Psychiatry is a joke, jump up and down on Oprah's couch and marry little Kat Holmes? Hopefully.

-Red Robin bought 13 restaurants across the state today but there's no indication that they'll make you order from those ridiculously giant menus (even in the damn bar!) or serve bottomless fries.

-The P-I announces that the "State might take a new look at lethal injection" like we're revisiting last year's fashions or something. "Step into Spring and take a new look at the taking of a life!"

I like that, actually - the post apocalyptic key arena. And then when our hero survives mortal combat he can cop a seat in one of the state-of-the-art-circa-2006 luxury boxes and ponder how it came to this

  • I see the future more of a mixture of post-oil Mad Max with a bit of Blade Runner for good measure. I am sure the mutant militia squads of the future won’t have time for the pleasantries of a lethal injection. More likely we will have a Thunderdome type system set up in the ruins of Key Arena.

Key Arena : Two man enter one man leave.

ha, josh, i think it was, once upon a time. At some point in the future, though, someone wil comment on a ...whatever they have then - 3D virtual reality blog or whatever and say "Washington actually performed lethal injections in 2006! It really was like the old west out here, wasn't it?"

  • Lethal injection is for wussies. We are the last state where you can hang a man. Like with a rope and a gallows hangman style.

  • my favorite detail in the death penalty article: Washington only switched from hanging to lethal injection in 1996! It really was like the old west out here, wasn't it?
