The DOT and the Mayor tried to pull a fast one on us when they elected to only study options that include a new highway on the shore, but now is absolutely the time to study the highway-free shore proposal. It is unfortunate that our leaders failed to consider the opinions of this coalition of experts at the very beginning. A close look reveals it has substantial merit, even if it can't be squeezed into a politician's soundbite.

This past weekend this group spoke to the Democratic political class that I am in and it made the most sense of all the options for dealing with the viaduct problem.
