Kids Make the Darnedest Films
We believe that the children are our future. FutureWave, that is.
Be a part of the Seattle International Film Festival's very first FutureWave, a program of new works by the filmmakers of tomorrow! We are looking for original short films (20 minutes or less) that are imaginative, evocative, innovative, and inspiring. Films can be narrative or documentary, live action or animation, shot on film or video. Films must be made by filmmakers who are 18 or younger at the time of submission.
To submit a film, download the Entry Form, or email FutureWave@seattlefilm.org for more information. Entries are due by March 20th. There's an entrance fee of $15, though it's waived for Washington State kids.
Selected films will be shown at FutureWave during SIFF this May/June. The little Lucas judged to have made the best picture will win 500 bones. That would buy a shit-ton of Pokemons.*
Best of luck to all the entrants. A word to the wise: Don't even try to recreate this masterpiece.
*Silvie argues that the plural of "Pokemon" is, in fact, "Pokemon."
As the term refers to "pocketmonsters," we must respectfully disagree.
