Coming Down With the Cold

TooCold-small.jpgIf you own a pair of mittens we suggest you put them on your hands toute suite. It is about to get really cold up in here, making talk about the weather acceptable outside of awkward exchanges with your local barista.

A mass of cold air is heading south through, where else, Canada, and should reach Seattle tomorrow morning causing temperatures to dip into the low thirties and twenties. However, there is good news, as the sun will be shining throughout the cold snap-- suck it S.A.D. High winds are also expected, but there is no snow in the forecast.

For those who like to look at the frozen glass as being half empty, cold temperatures such as these are rare this time of year. Meteorologist Danny Mercer told the Times, “It's hard after the first week of February to get arctic air…it's really uncommon.”

It will be a far cry from last weekend when temperatures scraped sixty causing the jogging lane at Green Lake to clog up like one of Dick Cheney’s arteries, am I right people? Seriously, you’ve been great—try the veal, and don’t forget to tip your server.
