Stalk of the Town
Will the beautiful weather stick around for our weekend? If it does, plans may change and you may see us prancing through various municipal parks. As of now, however, here's how the weekend's shaking out.
Saturday evening, James is going to see Match Point at Pacific Place, followed by dinner at a fancy-ish restaraunt to be determined later. Lark? Brasa? Weigh in in the comments if you like. This weekend he'll also be watching most of true-crime courtroom thriller The Staircase, which is due back at the library in a week.
After getting trounced last weekend at the Rock Paper Scissors Tournament, Donté's going toleave the competing to those that know what they're doing. He'll be attending the Pacific Northwest Yo-Yo Championship Saturday at Seattle Center, no doubt picking up another quirky activity over which to obsess.
Seth says au revoir (he hopes) to Arrested Development tonight, and a mini road trip to Enumclaw for a high school basketball game provides an excuse for a nature walk tomorrow. And, that night, he's hoping someone will take him to this. Donte, are you listening?
Courtney is going to clean up her act and be a lady this weekend. Friday night she’s going to Pacific Northwest Ballet’s “Valentine” performance, primarily because it has Twyla Tharp choreography in it. Saturday night is a small engagement party organized by friends at the Harvest Vine, and on Sunday she’s having brunch at Easy Street in West Seattle with her friend who is planning her bachelorette party. After all that, she’ll be working doubly-hard on Monday to swear profusely, belch, and generally upset anyone within shouting distance. Much better.
Tonight David will be watching the final episodes of Arrested Development, and screaming at any of his guests who dare speak in competition with the dialogue. Over the weekend he will hike near Mt. Rainier, attend a basketball game, and learn to salsa--thereby ending its reign as world's sexiest dance.
Matt Silvie will pay his respects at a special wake at a private home in green lake Friday night, then celebrate life by buying a drink or nine for a friend on her 21st birthday. Saturday night is reserved for Big Digits, followed by more partying in West Seattle for multiple birthdays/people moving out/moving in/Valentines/Anti-Valentines/people going away to New Zealand/etc. If Sunday doesnt involve snow the weekend will suck overall. Matt will also watch a Polish man get his ass beat by an Asian in a race at greenlake early Sunday morning
Gina will be supplying up at Utrecht and subsequently channeling her inner Picasso, or at the very least, Jan Berenstain, in order to complete a sure-to-be masterful wall-hanging thing.
Editor Dan's planning to head down to the QFC on 45th and punch Albertson's refugees in the neck. You can take the boy out of Chicago...
