Will the last person not on a reality show please turn off the TV

dollhouseh.jpgAn HGTV crew will be in Seattle in the spring to film local cribs for their "Small Spaces, Big Style" show so if you have a designy space that's smaller than 1000 square feet you should get in touch with them.

THE REQUIREMENTS:
1- SIZE: The homes can be ANY type of living space- homes, apartments, condos, lofts, bungalows, yurts, yachts, dorm rooms, houseboats- but they must be under 1,000 square feet! We are also accepting submissions for tiny, multi-functional ROOMS within larger homes.
2- STYLE: The homes must have a unique and/or interesting design style, and should creatively make the most of the limited space.
3- LOCATION: The space must be within a one hour drive of a major metropolitan area.

That studio condo full of Dania stuff with the view of the Bay that you overpaid for in '99 and have been trying to unload for the past three years? Sure! The 32' Beneteau you started sleeping in "temporarily" just until everything was finalized with the lawyers but now appears on charts of Salmon Bay? Give it a shot. The starter shed you just mortgaged your future for in Phinney after waiving an inspection? Those aren't tragic home improvements in progess - They're design features. Your band's practice space in Georgetown where you crash when you happen to pass out there or your girlfriend's locked you out again or that loft in Pioneer Square where your lease includes the words "don't ask don't tell" and was drawn up on the back of one of your paintings? You don't want to blow your cover, but HGTV might be interested. The extended cab pickup that you make deliveries in during the day and park in Ballard and sleep in at night with your three dogs? It's multi-functional, yes, but probably a bit beyond what they're going for. You're out.
