Music, Anarchy, Eastlake
You can wander around the city jumping from protest to loft party to street gathering hoping to come across the Infernal Noise Brigade, but, you know, it's a big city and you can wander for quite a while before your path crosses with theirs. Rarely is there an actual advertised performance with a time and a date and a ticket to be purchased (and that's not out in the middle of nowhere) and yet this Super Weekend you're in luck. Infernal Noise Brigade is at LoFi tonight on Eastlake for a whole six dollars. Wait, six dollars? What a bunch of capitalists!
INB, in case you don't know, is a marching band that leans way to the left as it ambles down the street. In full throat there are 25 or 30 'operatives' playing but we've caught them parading in groups of six or so in the past and we're not sure the LoFi can accomodate the whole gang. Expect lots of percussion grooves and an all-star horn section.
Top billing for this show goes to Filistine who we don't know a whole lot about. On his website he says, "who am i? a specialist in counter-hegemonic brown sound, world's only luddite laptopist, on a mission to jam their signal with my noise." Good enough for us.
