Husky Men Face Dirty Hippies

hippie.jpgIf those dirty hippies in the Bay Area wont help support our Super Bowl bound Seahawks then we will have to do the next best thing and demolish their college basketball teams. Well, in actuality the next best thing would be to go on the radio and praise the idea of an Al-Qaeda attack on San Francisco, but we're not shit-bat insane.

Fresh off sweeps of the Oregon and SoCal schools the number nine Huskies will head south to play Cal-Berkeley tonight, and the singular Stanford Cardinal on Sunday.

Last March at Cal the Huskies gave Berkeley a much deserved ass whomping behind a steady barrage of Tre Simmons three pointers. However, the Bears were without 6-8 forward Leon Powe, who missed the entire season with a bad cough. Powe is back and leading the Pac-10 in scoring and rebounding.

Today on his Husky Basketball blog Times beat writer Bob Condotta called this a key stretch for the team, with tonight being keyiest game of them all.

The Huskies have won four straight, including their first win at UCLA since 1987, and look like they have put their early Pac-10 season hiccup behind them. Their RPI is on the rise and they are back in the Top 10 in both polls.

Tonight's game starts at 7:30 and, because someone thought its currently the year 1940, will be broadcast on radio only-- 1330 on your AM dial.
