-You absolutely have to go read Elvis fans from around the world attack Seattlest in creative and hilarious ways in the comments of what we thought was a funny but moderate Elvis Birthday post.

-Not only do mail order brides actually exist, but sometimes they're named Anastasia. Bush signed a law today sponsored by our Rep. Lawson and Sen. Cantwell to protect future mail order Anastasias.

-Yesterday the news said we'd had a lot of rain and that we were keeping an eye out for mudslides. And then right on cue the mud slid. Sounder trains to Everett and Amtrak trains to Vancouver are on hold until slides are cleaned up.

-The interior designer who poisoned trees at the edge of Vancouver's Stanley Park to improve the view from her third story condo will avoid a criminal conviction, but was forced to sell the beloved unit after word of the incident got out and people threw dog crap at it.
