We Shop in Ballard: Copacetique

mini-popfly_outside.jpgJanice Headley and Michael Baehr are purveyors of cute. Representing an array of artists and crafters, this husband/wife duo work full-time to make the world more fetching. For their entire selection, check out their web site, www.copacetique.com . Not only do they carry vintage clothes, they have their very own line--copacetic. Featuring sassy appliques and trendy corsages copacetic will easily brighten anyone's holiday.

The copacetic line is inventive and fun. Using items like vintage table cloths and pages from children's books, Janice crafts wallets and coin purses. Her re-constructed tees are some of the sweetest in the city, and her CD wallets will put a smile on your face.

There's more to the store than just copacetic, though. Copacetique houses some fantastic designers and crafters from around the world. Meomi, from Vancouver B.C. and San Francisco has created a cast of colorful creatures each featured on buttons, cards, and magnets. Curio J provides style-y jewelry. There are eighty-eight craftspeople represented on the site each one piling on the cute to make Copacetique one of the finest on-line boutiques.

If you want to see their stuff in person, be sure to stop by I <3 Rummage. There's a special holiday event this Sunday.

Copacetic is also carried at Pretty Parlor (6729 Greenwood Ave. N), Velouria (2205 NW Market), and The Shop (500 E. Pine).
