More! More! More!

izdiz.jpgHooray for excess! After yesterday's gluttony, and today's celebrations of consumerism, it just wouldn't seem right to go out for something low-key. So rather than even considering a night at home mourning the loss of a meat-market, why not head out for a night with not one, but two house music heavyweights?

Iz and Diz have been creating music for over a decade, both individually and as a duo (their nicknames predate their pairing). Based out of Chicago, they've released tracks on such acclaimed labels as Seasons, KMS (techno legend Kevin Saunderson's label), and Classic, who released "Mouth," comprised of nothing but the pair's own vocals (inspiration for Bjork perhaps?). Known for their house, the two have operated on various ends of the spectrum, from laid-back and loungey tracks to more upbeat and dancefloor-friendly.

Even with their own productions, it's the pair's DJing that has made them crowd favorites. Diz has been through Seattle on multiple occasions, while Iz made his return to Seattle last month at the Chop Suey benefit party. Iz's set was closed out with calls for him to return with Diz, and Uniting Souls listened to the people. The pair has a quarterly residency at London's Fabric (a Big Deal), and are well-known around house music circles for their energetic, crowd-moving sets. Like locals the Lawnchair Generals or the Lost Boys, this duo promises to add up to more than the sum of their (already capable) parts.
