Well, another month has rolled around, which means it's time for another installment of SIFF's Screenwriters Salon. In a change-up from the seminar format, this month's offering is a "top-secret" staged script reading, featuring George Wing. The George Wing -- who, by the way, used to be a legal assistant here in Seattle, before they turned 50 First Dates into a hit film and he disappointed his parents by turning his back on a promising legal career.
The Screenwriters Salon meets this evening at 7:30pm, at Richard Hugo House (1634 11th Ave.). Besides the George Wing draw, the first 25 people through the door will receive a free copy of Movie Magic Screenwriter Software from Write Brothers, Inc., which is used by famous people, though there's no guarantee it'll make you famous all on its own. You may have to take a screenwriting class for that.
The reading is directed by Kris Kristensen and features Kevin Seal, Richard Sanders, Mary Kae Irvin, Troy Lund, Michael Koler, Jessi Badami, Beth Peterson, and Rich Phelps. Admission is FREE for SIFF Group members; $2 for NW Screenwriters Guild members, students and seniors; $5 for general public. Tickets available at the door at 6:30pm. No late seating, please.
