Actually the Youth vote in 2004 was the highest it has been since the Vietnam War ( http://www.civicyouth.org/quick/youth_voting.htm ). There is a long way to go but there was a massive increase in registration and turnout in 2004 and it is going to snowball and run into the 2006 mid-term elections.

You're right - I shouldn't have been so glib. I love the fact that they were out there. It's a little misleading of you to claim that they represent the majority of American voters, though. The majority of American voters are pissed off and displeased with the president (finally!), yes, so they do represent the majority in that regard. The majority of American voters aren't 18 though. That's actually a terrible demo for voter turnout. So while I'm glad they're in the streets, I'm not yet convinced they're actually going to vote.

"The kids" You mean draft age voters. These "kids" represent the majority of American voters.

Thing is you have to remember is that people born in 1990 will be old enough to vote for the next President of the United States.

That is one of the reasons why I am damn proud to be a member of the Young Democrats of Washington.
