Change U?
Let's say your boss was talking about your work performance to a group of strangers, and said that he intended to "look very closely at our situation to make sure we have things in the right order," and, when asked what you could do better, said "just things that we expect."
You wouldn't exactly be running through the break room slapping high fives with your co-workers and making outlandish toasts about yourself at company functions. This is the situation that current Huskies starting quarterback Isaiah Stanback is facing, after coach Tyrone Willingham gave him the dreaded "vote of confidence" with the above remarks.
We like Stanback, and not just because he went to our old high school, but because he shows flashes of the great quarterback that he could be. Unfortunately he also shows the other team our punter a lot.
For that reason Coach Willingham is mulling a change so that the team won't finish up the year 1-10 (are we really about to type this next word?) again.
Stanback seems to be very aware of his less than stellar play, "That wasn't me (against Arizona State). That was the old me. I messed up a lot -- mental mistakes I don't normally make," adding I'm just going through some stuff right now baby, I can change, I love you.
On the bright side Husky basketball season starts this month.
