It Takes a Value Village Fashion Show

vvlogo.jpgThe Second Annual Value Village Fashion Show is pouring a 50-gallon drum of gasoline on the fires of costumery this weekend, so don't think that you're finished with dress-up for the season after you trudge home commando in your gorilla suit Sunday morning. You still have to get to the Rendezvous Sunday evening for this show.

Seattlest has once again failed you by not getting the entry form to you in time to model your sexy self in the show, but we're pretty confident that there will be enough able bodies in thrift store chic to gawk at. Last year everything from Kojak-style coats to superhero-like outfits to psychedelic jumpsuits rocked the runway and Sunday promises to follow suit. This is a benefit via Northwest Medical Teams for hurricane relief, folks, so even though this event is cool enough already it also has the added benefit of allowing you to make yourself usefull for once.

As you know, we had planned to link our party with a clothing drive to benefit hurricane victims. We have since learned that other types of donations--specifically first aid and hygiene supplies--are more urgently needed. We are asking each of our guests to bring any of the following items to the Rendezvous to donate on Sunday, October 30, the evening of the party:

Pain Relievers:
Aspirin
Acetaminophen – tablets or caplets
Any chewable children’s pain reliever
