iTunes Peddling New Pornography

mini-diypod.jpgSeattlest loves the New Pornographers. We may have made claims to the contrary in the past, but our informal polling method (four Seattlest contributors at their last Showbox performance) shows they have strong support from our staff. That not one of us deigned to write the show up is something else entirely. Too many cooks, maybe.

This post isn't to hype any more upcoming shows, unfortunately. They're in the Midwest for the next few days and then off to Europe to become international super stars. And they're touring in support of Twin Cinema with no new material via the usual channels coming anytime soon. Seattlest's constant monitoring of the unusual channels has paid off, though, and we'd like to alert you to the 4-song "Exclusive Session" currently available through iTunes. We hate exclusive releases here, but we just want to let you know that these songs are out there and should be findable in your, uh, distribution network soon.

Ah, I was in the bar area on the LEFT side. I probably passed y'all on the way to the bathroom though. Boy is that a hike. I might've seen you but I was afraid to take my eyes off the Sherpa.

  • We were all in the bar area on the right side.

Perhaps you didn't see me, Michael, because I was near the stairs leading to the floor, like a queen atop her throne.

Hey, I was at that show, too. I saw a lot of people I knew, but I didn't see more Seattlesters. Granted, I wouldn't have seen Audrey, given her height.

New Pornographers burned it up. It took my heart rate two hours to notice the concert had ended.

    Good point. Alright, "intercontinental superstars."

Since the New Pornographers are (mostly) Candadian, aren't they already, by their U.S. superstardom, international superstars?
