Thanks for chiming in.  As for your suggestion, yes, that would certainly work, but it might be a tad precarious, since the cauliflower would likely wobble under the knife if it were resting on its rounded top.  Also, I doubt that cutting from the stem end would make much of a difference in terms of keeping slices intact; the florets will break into little crumblies either way.  Whatever you do, it&apos;s a fairly unscientific process; you can hardly go wrong!  Hope that helps...&lt;/p&gt;</description>

That way you could start with an easier cut (the well-defined stem) and then move into the florets.

Will this work?
