Some nights there's just ab-so-lutely nothing at all happening and other nights are packed full of goodies. Life's like that, right (Damn you, schedulers!). Tomorrow night, yeah, there're a lot of non-music events going on as usual, although some are extra good, but there are also multiple concerts that are extra uber good. We know that technology is advancing rapidly and all and as of recently we can watch movies on our portable record collections, but when is some bright young soul going to invent TIVO for live concerts. That way we can go to Bauhaus on Friday night while saving Turbonegro to experience at our leisure some other time. Is that too much to ask?
Whatever image "Scandonavian punk" calls to mind will suffice pretty well for a description of Turbonegro. They've been around, they're loved, they don't get as much play in the States as they should. They're at the Showbox Friday night. Tickets available.
More people are probably familiar with Bauhaus and their act that was goth since before goth was called goth. They're at the Paramount Friday. Pricy tickets on sale here.
