That Perfect Stripper Name

name.JPGWe understand that you come to us for up-to-the-minute information about the Seattle School Board election. On Saturday the Times ran an article calling the races for school board in Seattle "the hottest." Of course the article focused on how most candidates in the state are running unopposed.

We were going to break down trends, come up with graphs, demand answers from those bureaucratic fat cats, and really delve into why of the 47 seats in King County that are up for vote this fall only 13 are contested-- but then we saw this and totally changed our mind.

As was originally reported in blurb form down bellow local strip club owners are trying to overturn the city's recent restrictions on gentlemen's establishments. They have a plan to gather 14,000 signatures by November 8; however, they don't have a name. Originally they called themselves Coalition Against Censorship, which sounded too much like Washington Coalition Against Censorship for the Washington Coalition Against Censorship. Next they tried Free Speech Seattle, which is the name of a group that worked to overturn the poster ban.

As of this posting the group has no name! We are on our way to the Lusty Lady to find out what the backup to their backup plan is. Wish us luck. Oh, and if you're still interested, here is the information on the school board races…hot, hot, hot.
