For The Birds

Seattlest is a big fan of the free. Free food, free entertainment, free bird---bring it on. It's a good thing that there's so much free stuff out there, if you only know where to find it.

For example, this Monday at the Egyptian Theatre, there's a free screening of Hitchcock classic The Birds at 7:30pm. Added bonus: Icy blonde Tippi Hedren will make an appearance to talk about her Hollywood experiences (oooh...ahhh). She'll be interviewed by Turner Classic Movies guy Robert Osbourne, because---whaddya know?---TCM, along with Comcast and Landmark Theatres, is sponsoring the event. They're tying it into their big On-Air Hitchcock Festival and related contest, from which you could get, yes, even more free stuff. If you're interested in seeing this film on the big screen, you need to call 206-521-3377 to reserve seats. Hey, it may be free, but it still requires a little effort on your part.
