Ponder This, Mariner Fans

police_clipart_1.gifHere's a topic for discussion...Ex-Mariner Scott Spiezio's 2005: Good or bad?

On one hand, he hit .064 for the Mariners, they released him, and he left his band, Sandfrog.

On the other hand, he made $3.1 million.

But throw this into the hopper. Spiezio and his female companion, 27 year old Jennifer Pankratz, are charged with stealing a cabbie's cell during a fare dispute. How did the Chicago P.D. establish the facts? Check out their ace detective work:

When police arrived, Gani Musabar Hasan [the cabbie] accused the pair of taking his cell phone. A police officer used his phone to ring Hasan's number, and when the phone rang in Pankratz's purse, the pair was taken into custody.

The lesson--if you steal a cellphone, set it to "Silent."
