Viral Marketing Gets Cured

Seattlest did not have a camera handy when we came upon this this morning--and besides, we wouldn't have been able to hold a camera steady for the giggles.

Perhaps you've seen the latest attempt at viral marketing around town. ("Viral marketing" to some, vandalism to others. Probably street art in the minds of the creators.) A series of small bike wheels have been padlocked to parking meters, along with a black plastic sign that reads "now what? nowwhat.com."

nowwhat.com is...State Farm Insurance. But you might not figure that out today, because a vigilante armed with a Sharpie has changed all of the signs along Lenora Street by blacking out the "w what? nowwhat.com." So now the signs just say "no."
