Seattle Survivors
It's that time of year again...the startup of the fall season of TV, and the chance for Seattleites to nab their 15 minutes by appearing on various reality shows. We already love Jude and Jacob, the Lakewood twins on MTV's The Reality Show.
(The conceit of the show: Ten pitches for reality shows battle it out in order to be picked as...a reality show.) The hook for the Lakewood fellas? The search for love. The catch? Jacob like girls, and Jude likes boys. But we like 'em 'cause they seem sweet and funny and they are self-described "jumpropers."
But this post is about the Seattle Survivors. The show premieres tonight. We've got two of them this year, and they're both cuter than Willard.
Brianna is a 21-year-old "makeup expert" from Edmonds.
Her Survivor bio says she works at an upscale department store in Edmonds (we're guessing it's the Alderwood Nordstrom?), although the Seattle Times caught her on her first day of work at Joeys. Young and cute can go far in this game, but we're betting that a lack of eyeliner and lip gloss on the Guatemala set may doom our lass.
Eyeliner doesn't seem to be a part of "happily divorced" Lakewood fishmonger Lydia's repertoire. We bet she's tough--and Ft. Lewis's Sandra's win suggests it's okay to be tough--but she was the anomaly. Making friends with the young hardbodies will be Lydia's big challenge, wethinks.
For the lack of a Portlandist, we may want to consider adopting Hood River's Brooke as one of our own. She lists Scrabble as her favorite game...which beats some of the other competitors, who list Candyland as tops.
