On Yer Toes! Walk the Plank in Kirkland, Matey.

crew_2003.jpgTired of the heat and looking for a break? Love life not quite how you wanted it to work out this summer? Finances not in the best of shape? Well, none of that matters because Captain Bogg and Salty are coming to town, and they're going to run you through.

Captain Angus Bogg and his scurvy-laden crew hail from Portland, and they're a band. They play pirate songs. You heard me right, scallywag, pirate songs. These aren't your average nautical ditties, though. Even the most landlubber adults will find it hard to resist dancing along to piratical tunes that span the gamut from folksy sea tales to rollicking ska riffs and perhaps even an AC/DC cover.

Captain Bogg ensures a good time for all ages, with two different shows fine-tuned for young and old buccaneers. As a part of the 2005 Kirkland Summer Centennial Performing Arts Series, Bogg and crew will fire up their canons this Tuesday evening at 7pm with a more adult-oriented set (though nothing will offend the wee ones). Their second set on Wednesday at 10am will offer a fully kid-oriented show.

In the meantime, be sure to brush up on yer Pirate Parlance, and don't forget to bring a lime ya knock-kneed deck wallupers.
