Firebreathers, Wrestlers, and Vaudevillians Swarm Capitol Hill

mini-crpub9.1.jpgSeattlest is always up for a night of weird insanity and the Third Annual Carnival Reverie at Neumo’s on Sunday, August 7, promises to be just that. The show starts at 7pm and brings forth a twisted eight-hour-long parade of jugglers, clowns, burlesque, sword swallowing, fire breathing, and music.

Hosted by Capitol Hill’s ringmistress DiTolvo, this traveling circus of misfits includes The Bad Things playing their slimy polkas, sea shanties, and junkyard waltzes, the Ignis Devoco Industrial Fire Circus, Seattle Semi-Pro Wrestling, the Monktail Creative Music Concern, the Petting Zoo Players, Danny Dead’s Funeral House Fun, and gobs more. This year all proceeds go to benefit Bootyland Kids, a Seattle-based children’s shop focusing on alternative parenting and cool kids gear. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door or $10 still if in costume—-so put a rubber crow on your head and join the madness.
