<description>&lt;p&gt;It seems pretty clear we can&apos;t aford to prop the viaduct up forever, and it could come down any day.

So the sensible folks at the PWC make us ask ourselves a good question: why IS it still there?  For all their leader-guy posturing, local officials don&apos;t even toy with the idea of making the real tough decisions.  

...When it comes down to it, I think I know Seattle, and I think she wants to go to art school, do drugs and generally grow up to be like Portland.  So how do we stop our leaders from putting her in a pantsuit and giving her a blackberry?&lt;/p&gt;</description>
