Behind Your Back at Greenlake

If you're of the opinion that Greenlake is already so damn overcrowded that a weekend there is more torture than relaxation, please stop reading now. If, however, you like frisbees, and we mean a lot of frisbees, then by all means read on.

This weekend the Freestyle Frisbee Championships and Alternative Sports Festival will take over Greenlake in all its already crowded splendor. In fact, if you just can't wait until the competition starts on Friday, word has it that disc-related spinning, jumping, chasing, and other up-with-frisbee activities have already commenced.

We had lots of friends who played Ultimate Frisbee in college. We preferred to watch, drink beer, and make bets. Were we to attend the festivities this weekend, Seattlest would most certainly have to make time for the Sunday 3pm Footbag/Step n' Toss Demo. Now that's a magical combo. Say it with us people: Footbag, Step n' Toss. That's right. For more innuendo, please do check out the Freestyle Players Association instructions for How to Play. Two-Fingers, Thumbers, and Rim Delays, oh my!

Juggling sticks and patchouli are strictly optional, but it never hurts to come prepared.
