Red Hook Moonlight Cinema: Coconuts Optional

holygrail1.jpg
This Thursday the Red Hook brewery kicks off its Moonlight Cinema series with Monty Python and the Holy Grail. There's so many one-liners we could throw at you right now, our brain just came out our ears.

Tickets are $5, and the movie is preceded by performances from local 2005 Emerging Music Award winners at 7:30pm. This week's musical guest is Matthew Shaw. We don't know much about Mr. Shaw but Google yielded numerous references to the Postal Service and Ben Gibbard -- do with that information what you will.

The movie starts around dusk-ish (8:45-9:15) and in case you haven't figured it out based on the title, there will indeed be beer. And wine. Oh fine, there's soda and food too. With the weather forecast for this week, we dare you to not be tempted by this. Don't make us taunt you a second time.

Having never seen this particular movie with the company of such a large crowd, we expect to have flashbacks to our regular midnight viewings of the Rocky Horror Picture Show in high school. Seattlest suggests you don't sample this peril alone. Perhaps you could bring a shrubbery.
