The Summer of 69 (Degrees Fahrenheit)

An Open Letter to the Weather:

When you didn't snow this winter, we know we said some hurtful things. We're sorry about that. It's just that winter sports are a favorite pasttime around here, and you just took them away. It's as if someone drained Lake Washington so we couldn't race hydroplanes, or destroyed the city's supply of coffee. Not cool.

That said, we need you now. Let's just put winter behind us--pretend it never happened. Please don't be spiteful and take away our 80 degree days of sun, when the air is so clean and clear you feel able to reach out and touch the mountain. We truly can't live without them. Come back, summer weather. Please, come back.
