Kids, Run From Sports

sports fans.JPGNate McMillan-- our favorite Sonic of all time-- is now the coach of the Portland Trailblazers, a thought that is harder to swallow than Paul Bunyan's left boot. And this on the same night that the Mariners leave Kansas City losing two out of three to the punchless Royals.

We once again question why we are sports fans. It's almost like we told ourselves, "Hey, we need one more thing in our life that we have no control over, that we will become obsessed with, that will bring us misery, and oh yeah, is controlled by people who don't care about us and only want to get richer.

We would now like to use the rest of this space to convince any young children out there not to make the mistake we made, avoid becoming a sports fan. Play video games, become a dungeon master or a skater—save yourself.

If you need us this weekend we will be watching the Mariners march
ever closer to mathematical elimination when they play the California Angels.

Say it ain't so, Nate!

Considering that Allen offered more $$$ and is far more willing to open up the checkbook for free agents, why should he say it ain't so? With great coaching and free agents down the line, he's got a better shot at a championship in portland than he does with sonics.

Hopefully, we'll play it smart and get Bob Weiss inked in Nate's stead!
