Bon Voyage

Monday morning, Swedish adventurer (and former Issaquah resident) Renata Chlumska will begin her "Around America Adventure." Over the next sixteen months, she will kayak and bicycle around the perimeter of the lower 48 states--a feat as yet never attempted. She'll travel unsupported, lugging her gear in the kayak or pulling it in a trailer behind her bike.

If you'd like to cheer her on, be at Moss Bay at 10 am. You can kayak along with her as she passes through the Ballard Locks, circa 11 am, or wave from on shore. Your next chance to see her will be in November 2006, when she returns to Seattle from the east, via bicycle.
