Save the Ladybug Guy!

bugbuddy.jpg
We've already told you about Buddy Foley, the ladybug guy on 15th Avenue West, and our concern that with the Whole Foods supermegastore on its way to replace the Utilikilt emporium next door, Ladybug Guy might be next.

Well, according to Thursday's Times, the ladybugs gotta go, not for Whole Foods but for nonpayment of rent, a whopping $2,300. Foley apparently pays $425/month for the former gas station and has fallen behind. Now, Foley sells ladybugs in bags of 100 for $5...so if we each bought a bag, and "we" meant 460 of us, today, we could catch him up. We think the math books he sells are more expensive...or maybe there's a benefactor out there, silently lurking on Seattlest.

Give this piece a read to get an idea of everything beyond ladybugs and math books that he's into...you might agree he's worth saving.
